one post: just the stadium

so matchday finally arrived in durban, but let me just spend some time talking about the stadium.

the final photo in the last post showed the stadium as part of the skyline. very pretty.

here it is a little closer up, as you walk towards it:



as you approach the stadium, the entry is right where that double/single arch comes down and there is a fantastic plaza leading there, above field level.

all around, probably my favorite stadium at the world cup (although the seats were pretty cramped).
