i went to new york and philadelphia for a week. unlike the trip to costa rica, which was for me only, the trip to the east coast was more like a trip for me + other people. namely, family and friends.
you spend the week eating fantastic food, going to world class museums, laughing harder than you have in months, and remembering why you love the people in your life and keep in touch with them despite living clear across the country.
then you find yourself standing in line at george's greek cafe waiting for a gyro that you don't really want, walking down the sidewalk joining an army of defeated adults going to their bartleby jobs, and opening up the paper to see this bullshit and wonder if your family and friends far away could be doing the same mundane ridiculous things.
and you know they are.

i miss you already.
I was on vacation in MA and NY the same week, that would have been really weird if our paths had crossed. I did cross paths with the bald guy from 30 Rock in SoHo.
